The Yellow Sally
This time of year is a great time to use this pattern, when run off starts the stone flies and the yellow sally's start coming off. This pattern is one of Jay Zimmerman archive patterns. The boulder caddis is also called the Clown Shoe Caddis. The story goes that Jay created the boulder caddis because he fishes boulder creek alot. when he showed the patter to Umpqua they said that he had to change the name cause people would thing that the only river you can fish it on is boulder creek thus the Clown Shoe Caddis.
